So, in a moment of madness, I’ve entered a 12-hour multi-lap race for this weekend (Sunday 7th May) in Evesham, Worcs.

It consists of 4.5km laps, all on trails, with around 200ft ascent on each lap. I ran the 6 hour version of the same race earlier this year, and managed around 31 miles, so this will be a good way of getting 50+ miles on my legs. I’m going to treat the event purely as a training run, so won’t be ‘racing’ as such.

Will be a good way to play around with nutrition too, and see if I can fine-tune this before the main event in June
